Sole9: Style That Gives Back

style-that-gives-back
I am truly grateful that you have chosen to purchase Sole9 shoes. I know you are going to love wearing them, especially since you are doing something incredibly cool at the same time. I wanted to develop a line of shoes for women that are not only comfortable and stylish but also celebrates the innate Beauty in all of us. “Style that gives back” really means something to me so a portion of the proceeds of each sale will be used to put love into action. Sole 9 works with regional and national organizations to shelter, educate and clothe women in need right here in the USA. Comfort is good. Giving is great.

How are you helping women when you buy a pair of shoes? : Portion of SOLE9 Proceeds goes towards the amazing outreach programs that are helping women here in the USA .

Cosmetic & Reconstructive Support Program:

NCADV in partnership with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery assists survivors of domestic violence who cannot afford the cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, plastic surgeons from across the country volunteer their services to assist survivors in removing the physical scars of abuse. NCADV provides the application, ensures the applicant is receiving support services needed and mediates with the medical association on behalf of the survivor.

Financial Education:

For victims of domestic violence efforts to obtain financial education are often hindered by abusive partners. Hope & Power for Your Personal Finances: A Rebuilding Guide Following Domestic Violence; workbook and facilitators guide was created by NCADV, the National Endowment for Financial Education and Intuit. It is designed for women who have left an abusive relationship and for those who are still in the relationship and are considering their options. This tool can be downloaded for free from NCADV’s website. These publications are available in English and Spanish.

Information & Referral:

Although NCADV doesn’t have a crisis line, survivors call for information, referral and guidance on complex situations that were not resolved at the local level. Advocates also call to get direction on how to better serve survivors. These services are provided in English and Spanish.
